I'm gonna say 50/50, Although brown is the dominate gene. Now keep track! My grandmother on my mothers side has blue my grandfather has brown my mother has brown her brother has blue. My grandmother on my fathers side has blue my grandfather has brown, both my father and his brother have blue eyes. my brother and my sister have blue I have brown eyes. A little too much info? yes but I just wanted to make the point that you really cant predict something like that. Oh yes my sister has blue eyes her husband brown, their baby has blue and their is not a trace of blue eyes anywhere in his family's history!

Blue eyes is a recessive gene. Since you and your parents have blue eyes and the paternal grandmother has blue eyes, your husband must have the recessive blue eye gene. You can only pass on the blue eye gene to your child, however your husband can either pass on the dominant brown eye gene, or the recessive blue eye gene. It can go either way. Hope things turn out the way you like.

Some people on here have said that brown is the dominant gene, but my mom has brown eyes and my father has blue eyes. I turned out with blue eyes also. So...brown is not always dominant.

genetics plays a major role in this. Your baby could end up with looks from your great grandparents! I am puerto rican/ french & my fiance is african american. My eyes and hair are brown as well as his. At birth I had blonde hair & blue eyes. My daighter (five months old) has very blue eyes!! Both of my parents as well as her dad's parents are brown hair./ brown eyes. I found out that both of my great grandfather's had blue eyes! So you never really know what your gonna get!!!

Brown eyes are the dominant gene. If one of you is blue eyed and one brown, the chances are greater that your baby will be brown eyed. But genetics is a raffle, you never know your luck!
