what are concept cars? can you buy them?

if u go to volkswagen.com and go to models then concept cars there are really cool cars that havent come out yet.

No you cannot buy them...it is just that a concept, that doesn't mean that they won't make it at one point. It is just a model or idea that they may be working on, it can take years before a concept goes into production though so don't count on seeing that vehicle in '07 or '08. Of course concepts are cool it is a lot easier to draw or come up than to actually produce the vehicle. Though they may make one as a model it is still not in or anywhere near production stages...can you buy it, if you have a serious connection and a lot of money maybe...but more than likely no.

Concept cars are styling exercises done by car companies and design companies. Sometimes a concept vehicle is so well the company puts them into production - sometimes more successfully than others.

You can't buy a concept car. Many times they aren't really cars, but sculptures that look like cars. ...and if you could buy them at what it cost to build them, you'd expect to pay hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.

concept cars are the cars that they get an idea from , they are ones that are shown at car shows . most of the concept cars never see daylight because there is either a glitch or the manufacturers don't think that they would make money . some concept cars are offered at auction and collectors get them at a high price , but usually they are destroyed .

Concept cars are prototype cars. Generally means there is only one. And test the market to see if people would be interested in seeing it or better yet to buy. Pretty much you can't buy these cars. They get them destroyed to protect them from other companies from stealing their ideas.

They are just prototypes and aren't mass produced yet so if you could get a hold of one of them, which I don't think is possible, it would cost a fortune. I wouldn't get one even if I had the $ because they haven't been fully tested until they go on the market and something could be wrong in the design.

they are car that show off new designs, some go into production, some dont, they usually dont sell them and if they do they are very expensive
