24/(sqrt(12))
24/(sqrt(4 * 3))
24/(2sqrt(3))
12/(sqrt(3))
(12sqrt(3))/3
4sqrt(3)

----------------------------

lets take what you ended up with

(24sqrt(12))/12
2sqrt(12)
2sqrt(4 * 3)
4sqrt(3)

All you had to do is reduce and simplify

First reduce 24/12 = 2
24(Square Root) 12 / 12 = 2sqrt(12)
Now reduce the square root (sqrt) of 12.
Since 12 = 4*3, you have
sqrt(12) = sqrt(4*3) = 2sqrt(3)
Your final answer would be
2sqrt(12) = 2*2sqrt(3) = 4sqrt(3)

You can simplify some more.

Sqrt 12 is 2 sqrt 3,so now your numerator is 48 sqrt 3 and you divide that by the 12 which you got and your final answer is 4sqrt 3

24 / (12)^(1/2)

=24 * (12^(1/2)) / 12^(1/2) * 12^(1/2)
=24*sqrt(12) / (12^(1/2 + 1/2))
=24*sqrt(12) / 12^(1)
=2*sqrt(12)
