If the song is already in mp3 format (or equivalent) than it is already compressed. The best way to reduce the size of the song is to reduce the quality. You could rip the song using itunes, roxio, etc at a lower bitrate. I have ripped 5 min songs that were approx. 5Mb in size down to less than a 1M, so I could play them as background music for a blog. I reduced the song from 128bit rate to 32 bit rate.

Hi. You will need to compress it by converting it to a smaller format, say mp3. Lots of web info.

You'd need to convert the MP3 to a WAV file, then convert it back to MP3 at a lower bitrate.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, you'll probably want to get someone knowledgeable to help you.

Put it into Windows Movie Maker, then hit "save movie file" then go to the movie settings and change what type of audio you want. Look at the bottom box to see how much it will be when you save it again.

You can compress it into a .zip file or you can split it into two or more files with WinRAR.
