remote starter problems?

I have a Code Alarm CA-670. For some reason the remote starter function malfunctions occasionally. When you use the remote starter feature occasionally the truck will start up , run for about 5 seconds then turn off and cycle through the feature with the truck continuing to die after 5 seconds. The alarm is in TACHLESS mode and occasionally it will start and the parking lights will stay lit showing that it is working properly and sometimes it will malfunction. The alarm is CODE ALARM CA-670. The alarm is in a 2003 DODGE RAM QUAD CAB.
