It does come with a cord But I can't figure it out (I do know how to plug it in though) lol.

must new camcorders brings cables firewire to firewire or firewire to audio & video, and software, if don't you need a video capture card, internal or external to plug in your cam and some video editting sotware, like vegas (sony) , etc...

your camcorder should have come with a cord to plug into the CPU (rectangle box where the powere button is).
