Here in Los Angeles, this has been one of the most talked about topic on the sports radio stations. Right now, I can't really see that happening, mostly for salary cap reasons. KG makes somewhere around $20 million dollars a year, and in order for the Lakers to get him, they have to match up salary for salary. Next to Kobe, the next highest paid player on the Lakers is Lamar Odom, who makes about $15 million. So with Odom's salary, you have to get another player or two whose salaries add to the difference (which would be $5 million) to get Garnett. Losing Odom, though, and getting Garnett doesn't necessarily make them a championship, because all it would be is Kobe, Garnett and a bunch of nobodies.

not good to maybe are the chances, but i heard Kobe wants out, and if the Lakers traded Kobe for KG, then the Lakers would end up the better team, simply because the Wolves would loose there only good rebounder. And lets assume that The lakers aquire KG without giving up kobe, i bet the Lakers would have to give up there first round draft choice, Lamar Odom, and Andrew Bynum, and that would mean the lakers would say no. I know the Wolves would ask for at least that for KG, because did you hear what they wanted from Pheonix? The Wolves wanted Amare, and a first round draft pick, which would have been from atlanta in a three team deal. So my prediction is that KG is going to stay one more year in minnesota then opt out of his final year of his contract to go play with another team, leaving the wolves at the bottom of the food chain forcing them to fire the worst GM in the NBA Kevin Mchale. The point is the wolves want something in return, and at the same time they don't want to spit in the face of KG by sending him to Boston, which would of helped the wolves out dramaticly. But if does happen that KG and Kobe do end up together, they would be a good match, simply because KG is so darn easy to get along with, and Kobe would be happy to have someone on the court like KG, that would take the double team off of him. I don't know i guess we will just have to see what happens.

The Lakers have absolutely no chance of getting KG unless they're willing to give away Kobe. I mean how else could it possibly happen? Combine the next 3 best players on the Lakers and they would be still be way under KG's worth. KG puts up a sure 20+ pts 10+ rebs 5+ assists every night. The only way they can get him is if they give up Kobe.

I'll say 15%. KG wants out of Minnesota and the Lakers would be willing to package Lamar Odom and all the other guys that came in the Shaq deal. I don't think it would work out. The Lakers are Kobe's team. They should add role players who focus more on defense and rebounding more than scoring. Kobe scores enough. Their egos would clash. LA, hang on to Odom and your younger players, and I guarantee a championship for the Lakers in two or three seasons. Did I just say that? They'll be good anyways.

Kevin Garnett? Are you kidding? Who do the Lakers have that they want, besides Kobe? There's nobody. Maybe 8 first round draft picks and a bunch of 2nd-rate players. But, the Lakers would never do that because 1st round draft picks are a valuable asset.

Good God I f'n hope not....Kevin Garnett is FAR too good to be "Kobe's sidekick". I can't even believe you compared him to Scottie f'n pippen...thats like...a SIN!
If Kevin is ever a Laker, i'll shoot myself...
I say this because I know that Kevin Garnett is better than that and he will NEVER stoop to that level, he knows better!
oh, and F**K THE LAKERS!

No they won't trade for KG b/c they have nothing to give except Kobe. The chances are 0.00001% of it happening. The Lakers will be champions again, but I can't say when.

being here in mn---there is no chance that kg will be going anywhere, since he is the make-up of the whole t-wolves team-if you lose him you might as well shut the whole organization down.
how can you sell tickets if a fan legend leaves and is replaced by regular players?? can't see it happening UNLESS he makes it public that he wants out!
