Just a passport if you have one. If not, your original birth certificate (copies wont do unless it is an official govenment issued one or a copy from the hospital and it has a raised seal on it, and a government ID such as a drivers license. If you dont have a drivers license, you can get a state ID. After Jan. 1, 2007, every U.S. citizen will need to have a passport to travel there, Canada, Caribbean, etc., so you should get one.

All you need for entry to Mexico is a passport or a valid government issue I.D. (driver's license) along with an original government issue birth certificate.

A passport to get back in. You would have to inquire with your company about the other.

try a US passport. the visa can be handed to you in route on the airplane. not too dificult!
