Yes. My back starts aching about a week before. I don't really get cramps now, I did when I was a teenager,but not now. Sure , I can tell a week out.

take 1000 mg Magnesium tablet per day 1 week before bleeding starts. Magnesium is good against cramps. Take contimously and maintain 400 mg per day.
It helped me. Also against cramps during my migrain attacks.

Yes having cramps is not uncommon. If you have them before during and after, you might have Endometriosis.

Yes, they are called premenstrual cramps and they are very real. I get them from time to time and they suck the big one. Just another plight of the woman.

yes, she can... cramping is the muscles moving to rip the lining from your uterus. You may even have cramping when you ovulate (around day 15).
