We have been dating three years. She lives in Los Angeles. She agrees we are in a relationship and that she is my girlfriend, but will never invite me to Los Angeles to go out with her group of friends (men, women, and couples - she goes out with them at least once a week). She says "her friends are her friends," not mine, and that she needs her space. I get the feeling she does not want people to know who I am or does not want them to know she has a boyfriend. It is like she is living a separate life. Also, she has a myspace site that I can't access because it is private. She is 38. I feel that if we are in a relationship, working together toward common goals as a team, she should want to make me a part of her activities to some extent, and should want to invite me to go out with her friends in her town every now and then. I would think and I would hope she would be proud to have me with her. Is my thinking backwards? Should I be suspicious? Or is her behavior normal?

We the surfers of cyber world meet with so many people every day. Surfing the net is the best pastime one can ever develop, as internet has the most knowledge, a surfer will never have to wait for a answer. The vast knowledge of cyber world is nothing as compared to the cyber society that it gives. Internet is a community but so vast that we need a place to make conversation easy. What more can be better than a chat room for this purpose, well a chat room and a message board along with a forum is the best combination really. I was actually looking for a place where we can find all these things with a profile and photo brouse option. Finally I got this site, this place is a very nice community where we can share every thing online. And also about the leader board, I must tell it is great. The thought of the leader board is unique, as not to many people has thought about this thing. And the method of getting the leader is very different and one must check out this site once. The cyber culture is growing, and it is about time that we find our club and that to a very different club, which is not a part of any big website house like the yahoo and google. This site am talking about has every thing that a cyber surfer ever wants. Why,not relocate to Los Angeles? You are not a stalker now are you? The distance between you sounds like she may have moved on. You,do your own things right? Invite her to do things with you,and not you sitting around wanting her to ask you to do things with her. Take her out,show her that she is special. You pay,take her on a vacation and then you will see if she is still interested in you. Remember you have to pay for the whole thing. Because if you ask her to use any of her money,it's like she is taking you out. Her behavior is very normal. She,has as I have read a full life. Yours doesn't sound to be that full,only you can make you happy. But I'm sure after this vacation,you should know where this relationship stands. If,she declines the invite,then sorry to relay this you must move on,and find the one that only wants you and do things only with you,and invites you to do things with her and her friends....good luck to you dear.

I think that for that age she doesn't need that much of a space and yes I think you need to meet her friends maybe she's hidding something for you that she doesn't want you to know about. Maybe she's just not mature enough to have a long-term relationship you really need to talk to her and tell her what you feel and just get to an agreement with her you cannot live trapped because of her you have a life also

If you've been goin gout for a while (long enough time, like more than a month) she says she likes you and so on...
It means she is REALLY not sure about the relationship with you (yet?). So unsure - she doesn't want her friends to know and influence her decision of whether or not to continue.
Another guess - she is not proud of the freinds she is hanging out with. She doesn't want to show them to you.
Or, she has one more BF.
That would be my guesses.
