All music has changed the world. People swear rap/rock is what makes kids do the bad things they do, but why does no one ever blamed country music. A lot of country music is depression and instructional on how to f*ck up your life.

Black Sabbath War Pigs

Listen to the lyrics, it relates to every major conflict since the 1970s when it was written.

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'til their judgement day comes
Yeah!

Now in darkness world stops turning
Ashes where the bodies burning
No more war pigs have the power
Hand of God has struck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees the war pig's crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan laughing spreads his wings
All right now!

Imagine by John Lennon, and I'm a country fan myself. As far as country music being depressing and all that I find it to be more of a "reality call" let's say. But then again I could be wrong, I guess we all view depression different I on one hand think that songs where the singers are screaming and you have to buy lyrics or look them up so that you can scream them along is depressing, or God forbid if it's any indication of the future to sing openly (or "rap") about gangs, disease, and screw*** your mama, oh and let's not forget drive by's then I pray for all our wretched souls.

Revolution by The Beatles.
Partial lyrics: We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out.......
I hope this is what you meant about "change the world", If not, I'm definitely thinking too much.

Billy Haley and his Comets fused elements of country music, Western swing, and black R&B to produce some of rock and roll's earliest hits. His "Crazy, Man Crazy" from 1953 was the first rock and roll record to make the pop charts.
