You said: 'once you cut the plant it's drugs possesion..'
So what is it when the leaves begin to fall naturally..
It makes a great seasoning for baked chicken.. tea.. and let's not forget the BROWNIES!!!!
No that I've ever tried it mind you..
You are serious though.. you can legally grow it? In most states, having a plant gets you into serious trouble..

Give it up buddy!
Ha! There are federal laws and state laws.
Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about.
Legally you travel from the U.S. to Mexico and renter the U.S. with prescription scheduled narcotics purchased from Mexican drug stores written from Mexican doctors.
U.S. customs will allow you to enter the country no problem.
Your difficulty could arise in a routine traffic stop with the prescription narcotic being discovered.
What I'm trying to convey here is that it is against state law to be in possession of the said narcotics. Texas is the best example.
More people learn this lesson the hard way in Texas that any other state.
Another lesson with the legal system I feel you have a need to know is that when it comes right down to it, all it takes to set yourself up for a conviction is for the government to show that you either knowingly, willfully or intended.
My advice to you is not to be coy with government at local, state or federal levels unless you have the Governments blessing to do so.
I can tell you don't
Good day!

No, it's not legal. It's posession of an illegal product. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to bust houses where they grow pot.
Just a a gardening hobby.... yeah sure, right. 'cause marijuana a pretty plant don't cha know.

You should say where you are living.
In the US it is illegal to even grow the plant, so I am curious where you are.

YES, it is still illegal. I don't think the police would believe that you just think it is a pretty plant to grow.

In most states, Marijuana is NOT LEGAL
to grow. You are always guilty, until you can prove your innocence (and intent)
