for Clinton to have won, he would have needed some of the people that voted for Bush to vote for him... and likewise with Bush...

regaurdless of who you like... who are these retards that voted for both of them... they seem at odds with each other in almost every way?

Easy!
Notice the people on Yahoo!Answers. They lack basic spelling & reading skills. They frequently fail to follow directions or read instructions. As someone who actually works at the polls, I have experience in this subject. Most voters have no idea who is running most of the time. In my polling place, most voters blindly choose a canidate based on a handout given by a party worker. Outside with a list of endorsed canidates, are paid Democratic hacks who make $50 for the day handing out stuff. The Little old ladies comes in and votes because the paper said "vote for that one". No issues, No thought process, Just "which one is the Democrat?" Other voters only show up for presidential elections. Thus I guess, Judges, Attorney Generals or State Reps. are not Immportant to them? These voters again fail to read the basic instructions or even notice the ballot quesiton on the right. They vote for one office & leave. Even my fellow workers are bad. Every election they argue about rules or even coffee breaks. Frequently I feel like the only brain in the room. Well they are Democrats....

Actually since there are 2 Bushs you need to make sure that you clarify which Bush you are talking about. If you want to know why some people who voted for Bill Clinton turned around and voted for George W Bush then I don't have an answer for you. I voted for George W Bush during his second election because I just didn't care for the people that he was running against. As for why people who voted for George H Bush then turned around and voted for Bill Clinton that is an easy question. Bush #1 sucked.
