no, if it is still in good shape, keep it....it sounds like you might be tired of the car, yet if it is paid off, take the car payment amt of money, and put it in a savings account each month !!! if you have maintained the car well, changing the oil regularly, and regular maintenance and tune-ups, etc..the car should last a few more years...Keep the car until it starts to cost you too much to repair it, from major repairs, that may not be worth it on a car with high mileage....yet, if you are happy with the car, you might even consider spending $2-3-400, and get it painted a new color, if you need a change...that is still a lot cheaper, than a new car payment !!!! i am a retired CPA & CFP and have always counseled people that the most money people spend is on clothing, eating out, and getting a new car, too often !! if you can cut back on any of these items, you could save a bunch of money, for a home, or retirement, or even a nice vacation, or whatever turns you on !! think about what i have suggested....if i can be of further help, .holler back at me ! good luck to you !!

I drive a 40 year old car, it has 250,000 on the engine and I have no intention of getting another car.

I once heard an accountant say that the very least expensive car there is is the one you already drive. I took him seriously.

A decent car costs $20,000. What can go wrong with the car you have now that costs $20,000 to fix? NOTHING ! ! !

If you like your Grand Am, keep it, have it properly maintained, and repair anything that goes wrong with it.

If you don't like your Grand Am, get the car you really want, and have that car properly maintained and repair anything that goes wrong with it.

The key is to get the car you want the most, and then maintain it properly and repair anything that goes wrong or wears out.

I'd agree with the first 2 answers. If everything is in good shape, I'd keep it.
