My car insurance is high because I need to be covered incase someone sues me. My cousin was in an accident, this guy actually swerved to hit her car so he could collect a payout. If you trip over, always someone is to blame, it's never your fault. How did it get like this? The courts should throw most of this out

Peoples thought on work and ways to make a living have changed.
Something that came to my attention last year is the way that people today seek to aquire wealth.
Ten years ago the number one response to, "How would you like to make your first million dollars?" was invent a new invention.
Today the number one answer is to win the lottery followed by a close second, winning a large court settlement.

Crooked PI Lawyers and chriopracters--people looking for a qiick dollar. Theysay the insurance companies have plenty of money, so let's screw 'em. You are right it makes the rates higher for the honest. Then you have the bleeding heart juries that award large sums for frivilous lawsuits, esp. if the plaintif is poor. amd the defendant has deep pockets.

It's a nation based on laws. And laws mean lawyers. And lawyers mean litigation.

Bart Simpson: "When I grow up, I want to be a lawyer just like you, Mr. Hutz."

Lionel Hutz: "Good for you, Bart. If there's one thing America needs, it's more lawyers."
