I mean seriously it will just go from bad to worse when Castro hands down his power to another dictator.

Well, like him or hate him, you got to admit Castro is one of a kind. Charismatic and ruthless at the same time. His brother Raul, next in line, does not have his charisma. IF the new leader screws things up, maybe the Commie regime will fall like the commie regimes in East Europe in the early 1990's. It would probably take a public uprising, riots in the streets, protests for democracy, etc.

If the new dictator is gonna be his brother then hes gonna die soon. There are many people in Cuba that do not like Castro's dictatorship so someone would take over. It might take a while for it to get into the year 2006 since its stuck in the '50s now. But it will get better SOMEDAY.

Castro has already stepped down he just isn't dead yet. His brother has taken charge of the country. Cuba as a country will not change the only difference is that now there is a leader in power that is stupid enough and has the balls to do what cuba has wanted to do for some time...... Get the US out of their country

No. Not unless the US does something bold. Problem is the US made him a powerful dictator, and now continues with stupid policies that maybe were okay 20 years ago, but should have long ago been abandoned. This is an example of Cuban ex-patriots driving US foreign policy.

We missed a chance to render Fidel irrelevant back when the Pope visited Cuba. We should have taken that opportunity to remove all sanctions and resumed normal relations ( so far as possible with a communist country ).

This is another chance to do the same thing. It would render Fidel irrelevant, and whoever his successor is.

cuba would change not just if castro dies but to those who are in charge to take his place not to mention the brother...i mean anyone whom may have power over castro and the brother should die...that way cuba will be free at last.

That poor country is heading to a revolution, I hope I will live to see the day Castro dies and all his people have justice once for all.

Left on its own Cuba will probably become a popular travel resort for residents of the US.

If we interfere with it's natural progression the island will probably remain hostile and off limits to the US for many more years to come.

Yes, Cuba will change, because it will be an other person who has the power. Everyone has his own way of doing things.

The only way it will change is if there is another revolution (unlikely) apart from that I'm sure Bush would love to stick his nose in
