I'm a nonsmoker but I heard that most marijuana is made from organic cannibis. So I'm wondering if weed is more natural than cigarettes. Are there any organic tobacco farms out there? How much pesticides does tobacco really need?

Well, I just gave up smoking tobacco, but I was into American Spirits. I thought they were "all natural" until I discovered that - for a buck more per pack - I could get the red pack instead of the blue pack, the red ones being the "organic" American Spirits.

I felt duped, especially considering that the same tobacco company that owns Marlboro bought out American Spirits.

I do smoke organic ganja, however.

What's the point in smoking organic cigarettes? What does it matter if there are pesticides in them or not, the chemicals naturally produced in smoking tobacco are incredibly toxic and harmful. The effort you make finding organic cigarettes could be better spent on quitting smoking.

Organic cigarettes do exist. Like organic foods they are more expensive .
Some cigarettes Like American Spirit just use tobacco only and have no additives.

Natural tobacco often contains higher concentrations of tar and nicotine, and the smoke has greater levels of toxic agents such as carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, ammonia and carcinogenic hydrocarbons. This not only increases the smoker's risk of developing lung cancer or other diseases, but it also jeopardizes the health of everyone in the room.

Yes, but that's not the reason I'm answering. I can no longer stand the misuse of the word "organic." ANYTHING that has at least one atom of carbon in it is by definition ORGANIC. Think of that the next time you are paying twice the price for a piece of organic fruit.
