What's better...shaving cream and razor or an electric shaver for my face? Also, if you feel a razor and shaving cream/gel is better what kind do you recommend? Thanks!

Razor will cut cut most of the hair off, its the closest shave you can get.
Electric Shavers don't get that close, but there great when you don't have time to shave.

Get both, trust me you will use both. As for cream, use the sensitive cream from Gillette.

Good luck

I use BOTH.

I use the Electric first.

I won't spend $100 bucks on an electric so I can't say if there are some 'perfect' electrics out there or not. I know the ones I get ($35-$55) don't get ALL the hairs in every spot.

So I use a nice razor (dont' bother to use cream) for touch up....the ones I get (Mach 3 right now) have lubrication strips so cream is not necessary for just touch up work).

The whole process is quick and results in a good shave.

I have to point out that I am one of those guys who always has a shadow though...so what works for me might not for someone who has less facial hair.

Who has the time and patience for shaving cream and razor and all that crap? I used to shave with a razor, cut myself regularly because I got in a hurry, or leave rashes because the blade was too sharp or too dull or too stupid to work. On impulse one day, I bought a $30 electric razor and tried it. I have never gone back.

I prefer shaving cream and a razor, because I am in complete control of those blades so close to my face. I use Edge Sensitive Gel and a Gillette five blade. The more blades on your razor, the less likely that you are to cut your face.

Razor

I used to use a blade but would get a rash under my chin from shaving so I switched over to a Norelco electric shaver. It took about 2 weeks for the adjustment from razor to electric but electric is the only way to go. Convenient!

I'd go with an electric razor. You get a closer shave and there's less mess

I use a razor simply because their less expensive, I just use the Gilette Mach 3 with same brand shaving cream for sensitive skin, never let me down.

electric shaving is advisable

reasons:
1.) it had been in many magazines reports about carcenogenic substances in razor soap as foaming agent which was proven that´s true
2.) electric razor vibrates and stimulates the skin, some blood capillaries are stimulated resulting to better blood circulation.
3.) almost no cut injuries

electric shaver! it's more high-tech and i trust it more!...think about it...a peice of plastic with a blade on it..or a high-tech razor made by scientist!
