Apart from the fact that they sometimes use the wrong methods to get there point across. Countries such as China, Russia, Venezuela and even Mexico City are run by leftist governments. Why are left-wing politics looked down upon? Is it because they dont like the US?

it explains in very good detail what Left wing politics is. And states that communism in some cases is regarded as being left wing.
I may not know alot about left wing politics, and thats why i asked this question. You on the other hand sound as if you know it all, and in this case your wrong.

Are you American? Born and raised? Well i'm not. i come from a country of war, that was run by leftist. My family moved from that country not because they hated it, but because we knew that a move to a better country would mean a better life (education and work wise). I can tell you this, now that we have live in a 1st World Country for over 15 years, we are waiting for the day that we can return to our country. We love our country and take pride in were we are from. If my country was not a third world country to begin with, we would never have left. Opportunity's are greater in countries such as the US, thats why the majority moves. Although in saying that, there are still those who live because of thier governments.

Give examples of "wrong methods" used. I'll put it to you that the governments of China and Mexico are far from leftist. If you're still under the delusion that China is run by a real Communist party, then I invite you to look up the definition of "Communist", and then examine the "communist" party of China. See any similarities? Didn't think so. The Conservative candidate in Mexico "won" the election. Vicente Fox was also a conservative. Don't see any leftist there. As for Chavez, it remains to be seen whether or not his government will be truly leftist, or will just turn into another south american payoff regime.

Conservatives reject left-wing politics because the left wants government to control everything. On the right of the political spectrum, we want less government, less government spending and less taxation. Conservatives value individual freedoms over government control.
The places you named are not desirable places to live. I see no benefit to government control of my life and my money. I choose equal opportunity over equal results. Look at the equal results in Cuba. Everyone is equally dirt poor. Everyone has equal possessions: just about nothing. Cuba has universal health care, paid for by the government. But don't get too sick, because you may have to wait weeks to see a doctor.
In the USA, it's put your money (or insurance) down and the doctor will see you now.

First I wouldn't use "China, Russia, Venezuela and even Mexico" as examples of wonderful countries to live in.
The second reason is the the port side of the ship of state wants to do economic evil to the US. Most of their programs can't pass Constitutional muster unless the SCOTUS sees auras and penumbras that aren't there.

You are kidding right? You truly honestly don't know. I would like you to study all their governments, better yet talk to some of their people who have escaped and moved here. The ones that still live there won't talk. Do you think the millions that have streamed across our borders risking their lives are doing it for just a couple of bucks? People who swim shark infested waters to try and make it our shores. Just because they have a beef?
