would you rather he be playing with real guns and knifes and saying he is going to shoot his mom because she made him eat his vegies?
i think this is normal behavior. maybe he will go into the army when he turns 18. im sure he will like girls, he just needs to be in a school thats different from grade school.
now if he was 18 and has never brought home a girl but has brought home many a guy friend i would ask him if he was gay and plan on not having any grandkids.

the playing with guns and make believe not a problem. being behind a grade is a problem. is there a learning disability or is he not trying hard enough.find that out first. as far as girls. that will come usually in high school. but when it comes you will wish it did not. when you get those grades under control try getting the kid in sports. it will build up his confidence and keep him in shape which the girls like. which should make it easier for him to talk to them.

Kids mature at their own rate. Don't force him into growing up. He's still really young and will have lots of time to develop. I mean, the less time he spends chasing girls, the better the odds of him not knocking one of them up while he's still a teen or catching something.
I'm sure he'll figure it out eventually.

Yes, and what's wrong with it, at least he's not watching tv, or play PlayStation. Let him keep his imagination asap!

he is just a late developer.
Do try to get him involved in other things, like a swim team or something like that.
