Celebrities have an obvious love/hate relationship with paparazzi. On the one hand, the paparazzi can provide exposure that will help a celebrities' career; on the other, celebrities find themselves stalked in every corner of their personal lives.

It's easy to say that paparazzi come with the territory of being a celebrity -- and it certainly should have been no secret to today's celebrities when they made their career choices. But the fervor to get pictures has gone up in the past couple of decades, in parallel with the public's thirst for every last detail of celebrity living.

It's not unreasonable for celebrities to expect some semblence of a private life. Were the American public to become fascinated with the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, would we just say that the 24x7 exposure of their private lives goes with the terrortory?

Why should it be a prerequisite that movie or music stars or other celebrities should forfeit private lives for these particular careers? Plenty of people make millions of dollars per year without being stalked -- why should entertainers be different?

There are times and places set aside or scheduled for the media to interview celebrities and when the paparazzi stalk them and interfere with their lives, I don't think it's right and I can totally understand why they don't like this behavior. Besides...why do people care what so and so was wearing or what they eat or even who they're dating ??? I don't see the big craze. I mean, it's interesting to know what's going on but not to go to extremes to find out. That's ridiculous and I sympathize with the celebrities.

Cause they refuse to leave the celebrities alone. Think of what happened to princess Di. They are vicious nasty reporters. They are all lying scum. When they cant get the truth about something or someone they make up and lie and print the lie. And just because they are celebrities does not mean they have to put up with trashy reporters in their face 24/7. They have the right to be left alone to enjoy their own private lives. We have no right to every little detail of any celebrities lives.
