The lieutenant governor of the island, which is Jamaica. He was Sir William Beeston. Is this a good thing, or just a thing?

He did get rid of pirates. Fought the French. But this colonialization thing kind of frightens me. How would you feel?

No, he wasn't evil. I've seen his writings online that are stored in Oxford University. He was sympathetic towards the treatment of blacks.

He missed a few. Just watched a History Channel documentary. While they don't have peg-legs and undead monkeys, piracy is still around in the Carribean. Mostly in the form of smuggling and high seas piracy/robbery of yaughts. Over 20 cases reported each year.

Its probably just a thing. Most people, if not all, have someone famous in their background. I am related way, way, way, WAY, down the line to Clark Gable. The actor from Gone With the Wind. What someone did or was, is in the past is just that, in the past and is history.

What does that make you a duke or a sir. LOL

I think it's funny when people get all into their ancestry. I think it's interesting but, it really doesn't change things here and now.

I'm related to Ulysses S. Grant on my mother's father's side. We even have an original portrait of him and his family. My grandfather looks like the fifty dollar bill picture of him when he grows his beard.
Everybody is related to somebody....it's not a big deal.
