I mean I know they say pregnant women cry a lot more, but I was always a very sensitive person to begin with ; and now that I'm pregnant ...sometimes I can't seem to stop crying. I am so worried that the baby is feeling stressed because of me?....I feel like a bad mother for all the crying I've been doing

Your crying won't affect the baby much - the baby will probably just feel a rocking sensation in your womb while you're sobbing away. It is true that pregnant women get overly emotional - I did when I was pregnant. I cried at every little thing, even at TV shows and movies, and I never used to before I was pregnant. As long as you don't feel that you are bordering depression, then you are okay. If you feel that you might be hitting depression, then make sure you see a professional so that it can be taken care of. it does happen that some women get depressed while pregnant - the hormones can make you feel like you are in an emotional rollercoaster.

You are not a bad mother for crying. Feeling that way will only make you feel even worse. Goodluck and hope you feel a lot better.

It's the hormones. It's not you - you could cry non-stop from now until the baby is born and you wouldn't be hurting the baby. I hope you don't have to cry that long but being overly emotional is all part of being pregnant and totally normal. Try to find a time or something that is relaxing and happy for you and then think about that whenever you are crying. It may help you to feel better sooner. The only way to be a bad mother when you're pregnant is to not take care of yourself and put toxic things in your body. If you're taking care of yourself, you're being a good mother.

Yes sweetheart...much the same here. It's natural to cry, so many changes going on. This is my third and they have all been different. Very emotional...and also more emotional as my partners kids are here for a month from the UK on hols...all I seem to do is cook and clean..5 kids in the house and one little one just growing inside that I feel like I'm neglecting because things are so hectic. Eat well and keep up your fluids...drink water...take 10 minutes out now and then and just talk to your tum and give it a rub...little one knows your there. Don't worry about the crying, take care of yourself and the little one will be fine...regular blood pressure checks throughout your pregnancy. Try and find some other women in your area you can discuss how you feel..clubs or pre-natal groups...you'll find your not alone. Good luck hun, keep rubbing and talking to your tum xxxx

crying is normal. i cried at least twice a week when i was pregnant. yes your baby feels the same emotions as you so try not to cry so much. throughout my whole pregnancy i was really happy and i always laughed. my baby is 5 months and all he does is laugh and smile since he was born. my obg said that no matter how much you cry you have to make sure you are 5x happier, smiling, and laughing. because when you are always smiling then you will have a happy baby!!

I am not pregnant right now, but when I was pregnant I did get more emotional. It is due to all those hormones floating around in your body. Relax, your baby will be just fine.
