Have your space bags ever leaked? Yes or No. Where did you buy them (Online, retail store, etc.)?

Question

I know this has been answered before, but there's mixed info about whether Space Bags (the kind you vacuum out all the air) actually work. Some people say they don't work at all (leak immediately, leak within 24 hours, etc.), and others say they work fine.

Just a quick poll before I spend the $$$ to buy the 5 or so space bags that I need.

Also, trying to find if people have better luck buying them from retail (Walmart, Target, etc) or online (spacebag.com) in terms of whether they leak or not.

Space Bags, will eventually "leak", by thier nature, plastic will "breathe" or transfer oxygen around seals and other places that are "dying to get in".

Remember, by nature, (I feel a pun here some place), Nature abhors a vacumn!

Except in Outter Space, its hard to create a "perfect vacumn" on Earth, (Why do you think the Astronauts work underwater to simulate a vacumned enviroment?)...

So, after awhile, (probably not in just 24 hours, unless they are extremely cheap bags), they will leak eventually, and fill with air.

Space bags leak over time, but they aren't a bad investment. I would recommend going to Bed, Bath and Beyond and getting them. You could buy a pack for $20 dollars and use the $5 off coupon and get it for $15 or use the 20% coupon on the more expensive bags. The nice thing about them is that they if the bags leak in 24 hours return it for a new one. Also, if you keep the bags in a cool location, it will last longer. If you store it it a hot location, the gases expand.

Mine have never leaked, and I bought them at Walgreens.
