my yahoo messenger voice messages won't play, when I try to click on play it changes to pause everytime?

I speak to people on the yahoo messenger, so I know my microphone works, it seems to be in the play part, I upgraded to the new version but still can't play voice messages

This has happened to me, so I can say that it's usually just a small glitch and that you just need to reboot your computer.

But while you're focused on your computer, how about some basic maintenance -
cleaning out junk you don't need (files, programs, temporary files, browser caches),
backing up stuff you need but don't look at often (or stuff you can't afford to lose),
scanning for viruses and spyware with several different programs,
defragging your hard drive...

You know... stuff you should do once a month.
