I mean why is it that the word 'smoker' is such a slander? People seem to really judge people pretty harshly when they smoke. Whats the reasoning behind it?

The whole smoking thing is another, if you will pardon the expression, smoke screen. The original tests that show that smoking causes cancer were done on rats. Lab rats have much smaller bodies than humans. In order for humans to get the same amount of tar and nicotine that the rats had, humans would have to smoke 10 cartons a day. Not 10 packs a day. 10 cartons a day. Second hand smoke? Been going on for at least 150 years, and suddenly second hand smoke causes cancer? Does this seem logical? No. Someone who has no respect for another person's rights didn't like the smell, so they complained and others took it up. Alcohol causes more deaths per year than any other single thing, yet I don't see anyone trying to get the bars shut down. Nope. Only smoking. It's not health, it's power.

Smoking is a filthy habit, nothing good comes from smoking, It's a billion dollar industry which has killed millions of it's loyal customers and the countless millions who have suffered from the effects of second-hand smoke. The fact you can smoke and not care about anyone else is the reasoning behind it.

If you want to poison yourself, that's all right with me. But with smoking cigarettes, you also poison those around you, who probably don't have a death wish.
Besides, I hate to stink, and being around smokers, you cannot but stink!
