I have 2 computers I use to connect to the internet through a router but only one DSL line. When I plug the cable line into my laptop it connects fine, but when I plug the same cable line into my PC it says its connected but when I try to web browse it always says connection error, anyone have any clue how to get the pc to connect to the internet?

It could be a bad ethernet card. It happen to me

HELP IS ON THE WAY PLEASE STAND BY AND KEEP HITTING THE RELOAD ICON ON UR INTERNET EXPLORER>>> when you set up the dsl on the lap and you set up the network cable from the dsl modem to the laptop and desktop go on your desktop pc click on start /control panel click on nerwork and internet connections icon then click on the nerwork connections icon right click the local area connection go to properties tick the box
show a icon in notification when connected then click ok then right click the local area connection icon and click on enable the network should log on in the desktop pc

check the setting on the ethernet connection. it is probable something with the ip address. you may just need to restart the computer.

its a connection settings folt, if u get the settings for it and put it in it will be fine i hope.

is IE or internet configuration problem, try using the assistants on xp
