I found out not too long ago that being a tow truck driver is in the top 10% of most dangerous jobs.
Then I found out that a guy that used to work for the company my husband works at died a few years back. He was driving a heavy duty tow truck, blew a tire, and the truck slammed front first into the road and sent the truck flying end over end. It killed him instantly.
On another occasion, one of their drivers was driving down an incline, a truck lost control, slammed into him, breaking his steering column. It totaled the truck, and the only thing that saved him from going over the edge of the road was the guard rail.
Thing that scared me about it, was that was the truck and job that used to be my husbands.
He's also almost been beat up a few times and almost ran over as well.
I wish he would quit.

The most dangerous job is a camel jockey. In many Gulf countries, it is still legal to use child jockeys. The children are bought (usually in Pakistan) from impoverished parents and work until they reach the age of seven or weight of 30 kilos, whichever comes first.
