He's starting to get in trouble for the game.. he asked to spend the night at my house last weekend.. just to find out he wants to play that game all night.. I told him it wouldnt be such a big deal if he didn't give his parents & me such an attitude when he's asked to get off or do something.. any suggestions?

I used to be very addicted to it and hell I kicked *** too. Guys love video games (a decent amount of them anyways). He'll probably like them for a while until girls come into his life. I'm a girl and I personally LOVE video games: RPG online games and the Final Fantasy series (only completed FFX but FFXII comes out on Halloween). When someone's addicted to something and you attempt to take it away or say you're against it, it does create attitude problems. I admit I used to and still probably do have attitude problems when someone interrupts me in a game. Maybe his parents should give him a set time when he can play, limit him. He might not agree but it's to help control him so he isn't playing till the break of dawn (I used to play games and still kind've do till 3 AM every night on school nights too).

he is so addicted to it because he can talk to other people, complete lots of quests, kill monsters, lvl up your character, and it's graphics are pretty good for an online game (not near as good as a game i play, don't suggest it to him but it's callled Conquer).

but here is a way to get him to quit playing

lol this is funny, i'm lvl 73 on that game (max lvl 126 so i was kinda high lvl and pretty respected in the game so it was fun) and i died and lost all my best stuff so i quit playing, try to get on his account like when he goes away from the computer for a bit, get rid of all of his stuff on the game, and the TADA instant mad nephew, but he won't play the game ever agian, not for a long time anyway. he most likley won't guit instantly because he will try to get his stuff back. also if he is a member, secretly end his subscription to it and don't let him join back up. if you don't have the authority to do any of this because he isn't your kid, give his parrents these hints. GOOD LUCK!!!!

sorry but when i was in 5th grade every single boy was ADDICTED to RUNESCAPE like it wasn't even funny and i went i on it to see what the fuss was about they can chat or im each other on there its really intresting but its boring like i mean i would never actually sighn on to it but you should tell him that sitting at runescape all day is not the way of life and he needs to get over that so the times that he can go on use it wisley. but whens asked to get off he needs to respect that.

break the game in front of him and stomp on it. tell him that there will never be anymore runescape. a major problem in society is that parents like you let the kids wear the pants and that is why there are so many spoiled A$$ rotten kids out there!!

Maybe he is depressed and the game is an escape from reality.
