A lot of water for a start, add a little bit of lemon juice as well as this is a natural diuretic, Parsley is also a natural diuretic (as well as used for inducing menstruation) that works well in tea form.

Ginger tea is also another good one as ginger is particularly good for digestive problems, or if you prefer a more aniseed-type taste or aren't too keen on herbal teas fennel is another good one to try too.

Avoid anything that will cause you to bloat up at the best of times - beans and curry for example - a lowered food intake will of course also help and better the diet with lots of fruit and veg, better the digestive and overall health, in turn better the menstrual health.

The only thing you can do naturally is try to drink a lot of water before you start and limit your sodium intake. The reason you bloat is because you retain water. I used to take a diuretic than helped a lot can't remember the name of it but you will pee a lot. Go the drug store and ask a pharmacist of a good diuretic to take.
