There alot you can say to those people who have nothing better to do than harass you all hours of the day!! There might be a thing were you live called a no call back list, ask the telemarketer, or just tell them your not at all interested, and NOT to phone your number again..

Ask them for their home phone number so you can call THEM at their dinner time.
Blow a whistle in their ear.
Keep hitting the pound key when you recognize it as a telemarketer calling.

I have no phone, but if I did and I wanted to get rid of a telemarketer, I would tell them that I needed to go take a **** or change my tampon. lol.

You just hang up as soon as you know its a telemarketer. Don't say anything, no matter how rude it sounds.

Tell them you are very interested and ask them to hold for a moment. They will say sure, no problem. Then put the phone down or on hold, but don't hang up. See how long it takes them to realize you are just messing with them and for them to hang up on you!

I'm busy right now. Give me your phone # and I'll call you back at your dinnertime. Also, Don't you know I'm on the "do not call list"? Or, Oh, I work for the same company you do so I can't answer your questions. Actually, I screen my phone calls.

speak in a different language...

say no one is home at the moment...

be completely silent

hang up

listen to what they have to say then ask them to repeat it again, because you dont quite understand, after 2 or 3 times, say oooo!!!! i get it now!!!! no thank you. (hang up)

say your busy but they could call your cell and give them a random number... or someone you dont like.....

lol but most of all, mess with their head. tell them you are interested in their offer. then when they start talking again, say you no what? never mind. then when they go to say something else, say well... mayb i do want it. continue on for about 5 minutes. trust me, itll aggravate them to no end.

The second you realize someone is trying to sell you something, even if you have to interrupt you say- I am sorry, I am not interested and you hang up. Do not even wait for the reply. You are being as polite as possible at this point. That always works for me. I do it at work as well.
