Curling your eyelashes and wearing eyeliner really makes your eyes stand out.
My daily makeup is this (basically in this order):
"Revlon colorstay" under eye concealer
"Physicians Formula mineral wear" powder
"Jane" powder blush
"Covergirl" pencil eyeliner (it has a smudging tip on one end)
"Maybelline" eyeshadow pallet
"Lacross" brand eyelash curler
"Almay - The insider" mascara"
"Clinique - Almost lipstick" in black cherry
all together this is way to much makeup all at once for a 7th grader, this is like a full face. But I am and adult and work as a receptionist.
But these are the brands I have found that I like well enough to buy again and again.
For you I would recomend
Powder, Curling the lashes, Eyeliner, and Gloss
The next best thing you can do besides makeup to look great is wear the right color clothes. Most people buy clothes the colors they like to look at. But they might not actually flatter your skin tone!
Most people have either a cool/pinkish cast or a warm/yellowish cast to their skin. This is your whole body, don't be lead astray by looking at your cheeks and thinking you are pinky just because you might have ruddy cheeks.
Someone who is pinkish/cool might look better in magenta, where someone who is yellowish/warm might look better in coral. Even though they are both the same amount bright, and both are kinds of pink, one will make your face look glowing, and the other will kind of wash you out.
Keep an eye out for that in all your clothes. Plus straight black, and pure white are really harsh colors on almost everyone like 90% of the polulation. So you might need blush when you wear those, even if you don't need it any other time. And you might just want to avoid black and white all together for pictures, because the camera has to compensate for the clothes so your face gets washed out.
Good luck!

Stay away from a heavy makeup base...nothing is more obvious than too much base! Lightly dust power over any "shiny" areas and try just the lightest sweep of powder blush. Remember that the general rule is that you should only play up one feature on your face at a time...like eyes but not lips, or lips but not eyes, etc. I'll tell you a secret that looks outstanding on girls your age. Clinique makes an awesome gloss called "Almost Lipstick", and each one has a matching lip liner. They give a pretty, glossy finish that lasts for hours on end, and the lip liner is creamy and light and enhances the look without making your lips look "made up". Everyone will keep telling you what a sexy pout you have. Hee, hee!

I'm all for the natural look too-don't start wearing anymore gunk on your face than you absolutley need. A little lip gloss, rosy cheeks and a touch of mascara are all a girl with healthy young skin needs sweetie. Good luck in JH.

You can use a light powder foundation and little blush to brighten up your skin tone (your age is when my acne began) If you have any acne then use a little bit of concealer that is a little lighter than your skin tone to touch up those spots (use it first before you use the powder...dab a bit on the spot and smooth it out a little to make it look natural). You don't want dark concealer because it'll bring more attention to your problem spots. I'd still just use lip gloss and light eyeshadow if any at all. Don't use a lot of mascara. If you can definitely tell you are wearing makeup then you are wearing too much. You are young and naturally beautiful! You don't have to use a lot of makeup until you're old like me : ) Young girls that wear a lot of makeup don't look good and they attract the wrong boys! By keeping it more natural, you'll look prettier and classier. I know you want to stand out but you don't want to stand out by wearing too much makeup and looking trashy. Stand out by being nice to everyone no matter who they are and by doing nice and thoughtful things for others. I know it sounds cheesy, but people will remember you forever when you are good to them and you'll earn a lot of friends too! Oh! and don't forget to wash your face every night...the makeup clogs your pores and can cause acne if you don't clean your face and allow it to breathe overnight! Good luck in 7th grade!!

I also started wearing make-up in the 7th grade. I would usually wear great lash mascara, a little blush, pink eye shadow and lip gloss, it will give you a really pretty flirty look. If you do start wearing make-up everyday, it is VERY important you wash your face in the morning and night. My mom told me that when i first started wearing it, if you get into that habit young, it will be awesome, I did, and now I have really clear skin!

It depends what is your hair color? What is your eye color, if you have blond hair, and what ever color eyes, go for a pink shadow, and clear lip gloss, blondies use a brown mascara, redheads, either black or brown, and brown or black hair, go for a black mascara. If you have dark colored hair, with any kind of eyes, you can try just about anything! Just remember girls, blue eyes do not go with blue shadow! And one more thing, less is totally more! Check out this site...just take the quiz and it will show you a video of how to apply the makeup....

i am going into 8th grade, and in 7th grade i wore eyeshadow from a place called bare ecsentuals. i get the one called BARE SKIN, but of course i dont kno ur skin color. but if you go there they pretty much can do your whole make up for free and match you to wut your perfect colors are. they also have other make up such as cover up. it is the best kind to get because it doesnt clog your pores and it lets your skin breathe so you dont get break outs. there is mascara and lipgloss and much more. i get LOREAL mascara because it makes your eye lashes really stand out. i love it! if you have any acne, it helps to get rid of it by using proctive...if your face is kinda light and needs a tan then get some natural bronzer and apply it to just the checks. [only a little] and just an extra thing, if you want to have a new scent then get the Victorias Secret body spray called "love spell" whenever i wore it, even guys would compliment me!
i hope this helps you. =D
good luck in 7th grade. it was my favorite year!

You don't want your makeup to be the first thing people notice. Your makeup should be worn in a way that enhances your best features. So applying heavily or wearing bright colors to make people see the color and not you is not a good idea.
There is a online site called makeupalley.com there are lots of message boards and helpful hints a long with product reviews.

you're going in to grade 7...so you're like 12?
You don't need makeup. You'll stand out by being the only girl confident enough to go au natural. You may not like that answer, but if your start wearing makeup now, you'll stand out as the chick with bad acne.

skip the purple it ends up looking trashy. trust me on this one. go for natural shades of brown on your eyes. use either a dark brown or black eyeliner but go light or you'll end up looking Gothic. mascara (if you have blues eyes try using a dark blue shade, it'll pick up on your eye color and make them stand out). pink or clear lip gloss and if you have bad skin use your shade of foundation but if you don't then don't bother. play up your eyes because you want people to look there first. :) good luck.
