of this giant bugs although my neighbor said they don't bite.How can I get rid of them?

there is not much that you can do. they dont bite and all they do is hang around. They leave behind their shells when they molt and it is kind of cute. But they dont really do anything. Leave them alone. Here in about another year or two we will get the cousin of the locust- called a cicada (si-kay-da). They live under the side walks and every 7 years the ones that were eggs crawl out and we have a cicada infestation for a few weeks. But they wont hurt you.

Actually, those are pretty cool bugs. They lay their eggs underground at the base of a tree. They stay there developing into mature bugs for around 17 years! Then they come out, live for a summer and they're gone. They won't hurt you. They make a loud noise on hot summer days. I use to hear them all the time back in Texas during the summer. (-:

They eat crops, so if you have fruits/veg/ crops growing in your garden then it may be the cause. You might be able to buy some bug spray (ask at a pet shop), or you could buy a lizard or frog (they love to eat locusts), or you can do the simple thing and stamp on them.

They may be sicada's. Alot of people call them locusts. Locusts look like large grasshoppers. Sicada's are fat greenish and make alot of noise in the trees. You can't really get rid of em.

Locusts are just really big grasshoppers. They won't hurt you. I don't even think they can bite. You can try putting a bird feeder in your yard to attract birds who will gladly eat them.

no why could i confer with my neighbor's flora? lol i am going to confer with my flora! hahaha, i heard something about once you confer with flora they boost more effective rapidly something like that O_o lol anybody else listen that or am i the in straightforward words strange one? i confer with something so flora are literally not something :P im strange lol and that i settle for that and under no circumstances embarrassed, i'm what i'm :P

They are locusts and are completely harmless (to you, but they do eat plants). I catch them and play with them when I get the chance, they are actually quite amusing.

Let me tell ya some redneck entertainment...My kids catch them and tie a string around their eyes and they will fly and fly forever...They let the cat chase it around....They won't hurt you a bit...they are just really loud!!

they will eat everything and then move on. Dont sweat it. They are a delicacy in Africa....fried or baked...
