I was debating on buying a malibu or a grand am. I dont have a decision made yet but i think that malibus are more for girls. Do you think that a grand am or a malibu would be better for a high school guy that i am.

Well really I don't think there is such a thing as a girl's car or a guy's car, I think if you like it more power to you. Really I don't like either of the cars, a nice muscle car I think is a hot car for a high school guy or a semi new sports car but if I had to choose between those 2 I would choose the Grand AM...Malibu is too old for you.

Ok neither one is a GIRL car! Really at your age you should be more worried about what one of the 2 will last you the longest. Also a car is what you can afford to make it. I have seen both cars done up nice that any guy would be proud to drive. But Id go with the Malibu since most of the newest body style ive seen is 4 door is a good idea for a kid your age and always hauling people around...Just food for thought and good luck in the hunt!

the malibu is not a girl car nor is the grand am. but since you are in high school I would suggest you buy the grand am but be sure to buy the V6 becuase like any high school guy you will drive crazy and kill the 4 cylinder engine, and believe when I say drive crazy becuase I still drive like that. get the grand am years 2000 and up.

The old malibu's (chevelle's) were awesome! the new ones are a little girly, I'd have no problem driving one though. Had one as a rental car and it was ok. I personally like to grand am's styling a little better though. A little more sporty.

I know a guy who bought one in high school a fews years back in 2003 and he hooked his Malibu up "hip-hop" style with those cobra lights and rims, and there IS NOTHING girly about this car! It's all guy and it, incidently was the first souped up American sedan car, I'd seen since it was not a Dodge Viper or Dodge Neon or similar in size.

My boyfriend & I just had this talk. He thinks because of the name its more of a chick car. But i see many guys driving them. Yes Grand Ams are more of a guy car. Who cares though if you like it get it

a grand am is more of a he-car
malibu makes me think of that Barbie they sold a few years ago

i'd get a newer grand am, as long as its like 1998 or newer. they look really cool and you can get a kickass system for them. i'd go for a black two door grand am. but neither are girl cars.

malibu can kick butt depending on engine but not for gas milage get small block.grand am same but looks good.

both are kinda girly unless its a grand am gt or some sport model
