They are always saying that girls cant do the same amount of stuff as guys. but yet they go and have a boys leage and a girls leage in soccer, football, ect. Why does every one think that?

Well, they dont really play the same game in most instances.
In basketball girls use a smaller ball. If the all star WNBA girls team played the average college men's team the men would easily win.
Softball is not baseball.
In Tennis, the girls only play the best out of three instead of 5 sets. Forget the Billy Jean King crap. If Rodger federer played any of the top girls he would dominate them.
Girls can not compete against men because they are not physically built to. Michele wie is a great golfer, but she will never win a PGA event. She may make the cut someday but she will not compete for the win.
No one disputes that women can play sports, but the are no where to the level as men.
Bowling is the only exception, but most don't consider that a sport!

Well you are right in the fact that most sports will have a boys and girls league. But if you look at it, they each play at a different level. And how many girls football leagues do you hear about? Girls play soft ball, not Baseball. Girls play basketball but not even close to the level guys play at. There is no comparison. When it comes to contact sports there is a very big difference. Nearly every female would not be able to compete in the contact sports guys do.

Well Yeah girls and guys are different.But girls started to realize how fun it is to play rough and
competitive sports.It's really fun plus it's a great work out.I honestly don't think females
should prioritize guy sports though I see girls that only care about soccer.It's all they can think of every day all day.This is a little wierd.
But if it's what makes them happy then I guess
it's ok.But I'de rather see girls that still enjoy diong girl stuff like shopping and occaisionally
wearing make up.You know girl things.

Because believe it or not, on an average, I repeat! AVERAGE, boys and girls have a completely diffrerent level of physical activity.
But then you would say that boys and girls should play sports in a mixed fashion where there are boys and girls in the same team.
So you say things will be fair then??
I don't think so. Of course there'd still be some false play (cheating), the people would still have different phy. levels so one team is better than the next.
They just separated the boys from the girls because the easiest way of segragating teams. Something which happens in sports in other manners, example (eg.), heavy weight, light weight, age category, etc.
Besides, I think that maybe people just enjoy playing sports with people of the same gender. Probably because then people in the same team would have more in common and attraction would not develop between the players which is meant for more personal time.

Girls can do the same things as guys. I have arms, I can play basketball, etc. I think some people are still sexually biased based on how they were raised. Don't hold it against them-it won't change anything. Instead, teach them why they may be wrong.
Andrew, it's not that I think we're whining. But I'd die before I have to be someone's slave becuase they're male. That's all I'm after. Equality so no one is inferior. That means guys too.

Where the sport is such that sex doesn't really matter, you see girl and boy leagues.
The odds of seeing a girl in the NFL [kicker possibly excepted] is almost nil.
Girls and boys ARE different - thank God!!

The important thing to remember is that there's a boys' league and a girls' league. Most certainly we females are capable of doing the same things that males can do. However, there is a very clear difference in that men have more muscle mass than women, and more mitochondria within their muscles than women (that's the energy producing part). If we were truly equal in a physical sense, there would only be one co-ed league for everyone.

ok well girls can PLAY most of the sports that guys can. but to a different level. Girls can play basketball, but they play it in a different way (not to say worse). They aren't as agressive (lack of testosterone) and they use a lighter ball. Girls do not play football. they dont play a sport anything close to boys lacrosse, girls and boys lacrosse r so different they shouldn't share the same name. Girls r different from guys. they play similar sports not the same.
i love boys basketball because of the agressiveness and desire to win. i tried watchin a final four girls game this year and i fell asleep in the fourth quarter in a close game. it's just no nearly as exciting.
Avg. boys bball score- probably 70-80
Avg. girls bball score-probably 35-50

OK, I hate how people do that too. Ever since I watched that movie "She's The Man" It got to me. I hate softball, I have since I was about 5. But yet, I love baseball. I seriously don't know.

not wanting to play the devils advocate here but i have not seen girls tackle football just flag.
but i agree that girls CAN do most of the same stuff that guys can.
