How do I get my wireless internet to work on my laptop. It finds one wireless network but it is password protected. Any help would be appreciated!

are you talking about using it at home?
if yes, you need a wireless router for you to connect to.

you cannot connect to the Internet without having a router

wireless Internet is only a wireless "extension cord" of wire network ^^

Your wireless router has the WEP on, need to configure your internet connection in the laptop to get access, search for it outside the router or get in your router and see the WEP config

It's probably password protected because the signal belongs to someone else. I have my router set up to only allow machines I allow.

If it is your router, go into the settings and turn of the password.

Do you have your own wireless access where you want to use the laptop? if you don't better don't try to access without permit, is a Federal Crime to access any network without owner's consent.
With your own access, you'll have your own password.

Did the bus card come with your router if not then your router has to be reset and configured over
