it doesn't only happen on cell phones. I know how to make calls from payphones and have them charged to your house phone (not that I do this myself, but it can be done).
You need to call the phone company and notify them immediately and also change your phone number.

Cell Phone? Have your number changed or change your profider. Don't leave your phone laying around for others to see. That's why I do not use a cell phone, more trouble than they are worth. TracPhones are the best...and only use it for emergencies and give no one your number...lol.
