Was told they cannot update this particular phone to a family plan. Funny U asked, we tried this today at Verizon and said they could not change the phone from prepaid card to family plan., however, Cingular might give u a different answer.. Worth stopping by and asking them.

Hey I'm glad I ran by this question....I work at Radioshack...Which means I sell Cingular pre-paid phones and regular contract phones.....Your not allowed to add lines on the same account because it's pre-paid but you can buy another pre-paid phone and you'd still get mobile to mobile...And roll over minutes.....Alot of times it's better to go with the contract because it's cheaper that way....But the deposits are usually really high...
I HOPE I HELPED>>>

No you can't.
The Cingular wireless contract explicitly states that anyone with a name like WOlverine is NOT allowed to upgrade.
Unless I read that wrong...
