From the news these days you'd think that the Israel/Lebanon murderfest was all the that was happening in the middle east? Has anyone else noticed this? Is it supposed to help us forget that little georgie and his cronies are still committing war crimes?

Will I get bombarded by hate mail?

Never should we forget little george and his cronies... These news stations are a bunch of vultures... You would think this Lebanon/Isreal thing is world war 3, however, little george continues to put his feeble touch on the situation... how could this nation have been so wrong twice??

Uhm, this morning, I just read an article on how 100 Iraqi civillians die each day. So... I have no idea what you're talking about.

It's not a surprise though, that the focus of news coverage has shifted to Israel/Lebannon conflict. The middle east conflict has been going on for years and years and years, and the violence there is serious.

Look up articles on Iraq War, you'll find them.

It's all about ratings and what brings a better profit to the major corporate conglomerates that own our media. If they feel that covering the Iraq War will get more viewers then it will be the top story.

They really don't care about the truth anymore, and haven't since after Vietnam and Watergate.

Have you noticed also that when certain questions here that relate to the Bush admin or the war just dissapear when you try to go to it?
The Iraq war is failing and evidence shows this day by day. What better way to divert attention than to have another slug fest going on somewhere else to divert our attention. That seems to be the way global politics(american dominance) works.

The war in Iraq is still covered, but the Israeli/Lebanon conflict interests more people right now.

I think it's the fact that the situation doesn't seem to be getting better or getting worse...

so it's often the same story they are reporting every day.. another car bomb that kills 55 or another assassination that kills another judge...

people get tired of the same basic story, even if it's a horrible story... they stop caring
