I have not yet been to either, I plan on hitting them both up this year though. Copper looks pretty fun, and I have heard that Mary Jane at Winter Park is close to unbeatable for black runs.
I would also recommend getting the Colorado pass...it's under $400 for unlimited skiing at Keystone, Breckenridge, A-Basin plus 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek.
Personally, I love Vail and Beaver Creek, the runs are long, there are all types of terrain for everyone...some great advanced and intermediate runs.
If you ever get a chance though, I definately recommend skiing Utah. Snowbird and Alta are unbeatable, and Snowbasin is great on a powder day...no people, gondolas that take you to great powder skiing (and keep you out of a blizzard) and probably the cheapest resort food you have ever seen (and it is gourmet!...plus you can rest your legs in a leather lazy boy!)

Ok i have been to both. I like both places. Winter Park is more crowded. Its the resort closest to denver. Stay away on the weekend. Most pass by copper on there way to breakenridge and vail. Copper ofter has had 4 of 5 day lift tickets for 100$. A great deal. Check out there web site to see do. Its also cheap to stay in frisco(use hotwire) you will end up in holiday inn or best western across the street. Not a lot to do but closer to the big party in brekenridge. Snow is great at both if one has a powder day its safe to say the other will as well. Money no object i like winter park. copper may be a bit higher. one peak. winter park has two peaks but about the same area. I got a soft spot for wp it was the first time i went out west and still had the best snow ever. No huge dumps but 6-12 every day. Looking back theat was very luck for me.

Winter Park is more advanced, in my opinion. I have been to them both (I'm a ski racer). I like Copper Mountain, though. It has a lot of snow; I went there for a week in June a couple years back. So does Winter Park, but I guess that it's personal preference.

Neither man.
A-basin.
Or come to Utah and ski some real mountains. I've skied both of the mountains you mentioned, and A-basin.
Seriously, come to Utah. A few laps up and down Alta will cure you of your ills!!
