1) Edgar Martinez
2) Harold Baines
3) Travis Hafner (at least until Papi has another great year)
And for all those who believe that the DH takes away strategy, you couldn't be more wrong. There is a lot more strategy involved as a manager in managing your pitchers against a team with 9 hitters, instead of 8 hitters and an automatic out.
Just because you make more moves in the NL with pinch-hitters and double switches, doesn't make it a more strategic game. If anything, it's more by-the-numbers than the AL, where there are no easy outs.
I'm so tired of all the bitching about the DH and its effect on strategy. Those who believe the NL is superior because it doesn't have the DH have just been brainwashed by too many years of talking heads saying it. A close examination of the facts will show that such an argument doesn't really stand up.

Who cares. AL baseball sucks. The DH takes all the strategy out of the game. My 9 year old son could manage an AL team.
Edit
Craig - Fill out a lineup card and sit and watch. Do I pull my pitcher in the 6th because I need a bat in the lineup? Don't have to make that decision. Do I make a double switch when I pull my pitcher to move his bat back in the lineup? Don't have to make that decision. Do I hit and run or bunt with this batter to get a runner in scoring position? Why, my DH is up next. Don't have to make that decision.
