How can Israel call "killing massive number of civilians" a way of self defense?!

I agree that this no longer (and really, never did) qualify as "defense" It is an offensive attack into a sovereign nation because of the actions of a minority of its population. No matter how you look at it, Israel's actions are illegal.

However, that said, what Hezbollah did is also illegal. The response to it is over the top and wrong, but something does need to be done about Hezbollah. I personally feel that both Hezbollah and Israel need to be disarmed, by force if necessary, and an international force needs to be stationed in Israel to protect it.

First you watch to much CNN sensationalism you are only seeing what they want you to see, do not let your emotions blind you, most of those so called civilians would put a knife between your shoulder blades in a heart beat, these people have been killing one another since the dawn of time and will continue to do so, Israel Palestine and the Arabs they don't see it as massacres only the media dose how else would they be able to sensationalize it only on video, look around you the madness protesters every where they leave their country and come to yours only to protest they don't come over here because they like you they hate your guts they simply want you on their side not Israels,and that's visa versa to, they simply have to keep the dam media out and let them go at it the dust will clear, and when both sides think they have done enough damage to one another they will take a break until someone looks the wrong way and the madness starts all over again, so don't feel for them no one will ever stop their insanity.

Lebanon brought this on itself by sheltering the Hezbos all these years. Israelis don't hide behind civilians. Hezbo terrorists do. And I'm certain that most civilian casualties in Lebanon resulted from Hezbollah keeping the civilians in place agains their will. That's just how they are.
