we were together for 8 years and i cant remember how to be single again

My daughter's uncle (father's side) went through a very bitter divorce. For awhile all he did was drink. It's been about a year now and I recently e-mailed him (to congratulate him on the birth of his grand-daughter). He says he now has a woman that "loves him to death". I am happy for him. He always seemed like a nice man. So I'm telling you that you will get past this and in the end you may find real happiness again. Good luck.

Divorce is hard, been there done that.
Keep moving straight ahead to a new future. You cannot change the past.
Be busy in your job and with your family and friends.
Do the best you can not to dwell on it.

By going on to be happy in a new relationship. Also, to learn from the mistakes you made in the past relationship so you don't repeat them.
