Why do people ask questions on here that could be answered VERY easily if they just went to google or yahoo search? I mean seriously people, what did you do when you had to write research papers or when you want to know facts? You actually rely on the word of the people in here. You don't even know if the information is that accurate. I don't understand it.

Some people probably don't know much about doing research, and of course those who refuse to learn to spell will have a heck of a time using a search engine.

Because this is more fun and involves points!
Also a lot of the questions I answer on here have multiple answers and can be confusing if you don't know quite enough. Asking for people's opinions, especially when you can contact the person, can often be better than getting research from a site you might not know if you can trust. This is also a good filter for google and the rest since the search engines can come back with bad results as easily as good.

i asked the same question but in a much more vulgar fashion. i do not understand it either. i think some people must get stuck in here and cant get out. you should go see how i asked the question. i have seen people give heavy misinformation in here. like they believe in every old wives tale they have ever been told. i dont understand why they dont search either. i love it when someone asks something and somebody drops in with the answer........no. what is the point, well in that case it is for the two points but it still seems stupid to me. i did get an answer about two songs i asked about. have a nice day......js

OK. You say you care about spelling? Look at the first line of your question. "Hear" should be "here."
As for why people ask questions that they could get facts on elsewhere, perhaps it is because they want to get views from other people. Each of us gets something different from the same story.

I know it is sickening...Just type the question in a search engine and they can have the answer in seconds and you won't get points taken away

I highly doubt people use this for a research paper...it is more of a forum to exchange thoughts and ideas....if you don't like it, don't come on here!!!!

Because it is easier for them to just type out the question and read the "answers" then it is for them to do the research themselves

Yes, why are there so many stupid questions on yahoo answers, what we don't all do to lose 5 points.
