Sexuality is a natural phenomenon, and you should not feel guilty or ashamed about having sexual feelings or engaging in self-gratification.

That said, sexuality is nonetheless a powerful biological imperative cloaked in infinite and subtle complexity. Try to avoid the tendency to oversimplify.

Your have not provided a lot of information, but the fact that you experience powerful sexual feelings "everytime" you get out of the shower, together with the implication that you don't think it is O.K. to handle it the way you normally do, suggests a potential (if not actual) addictive cycle (pleasure followed by guilt/shame followed by more pleasure to escape the guilt/shame, followed by more guilt/shame, etc.).

I suggest three distinct ongoing practices:

1. Self-acceptance

You're not hurting anyone, (perhaps) you're lonely, it feels good--don't beat yourself up about it. If you want to try not to do it, fine. When you do it, let it go.

2. Awareness

Pay attention to what happens when you get out of the shower (or whenever else you feel suddenly horny). Not just what happens around you but what happens in your thoughts and feelings. Think about what you believe about yourself, your sexuality and sexuality in general. Do some research on sexual behaviors, compulsivity and addiction.

3. Discipline

Set some goals and/or identify some specific actions you can take to work towards a better outlet for your sexual expression. Don't come on to guys as a replacement for your pillow--you'll just be turning up the juice on your merry-go-round. Instead, put a profile on an on-line dating service or go to a social event like a church service or a class where you can meet people and start getting to know them. Or whatever makes sense to you.

If you feel stuck and need help, get it! Go see a doctor or a therapist or a counselor, or try a 12-step group. If you try to solve the problem by yourself, you are likely to default to the easiest (and least scary) solution--humping your pillow! If you don't feel comfortable asking for help with what you feel is the problem, then ask for help with what you think might be the solution (i.e., you can ask for support and encouragement to go to social occasions and help with learning to start up conversations with guys instead of help with changing your sexual behavior).

In the end, the solution to a desire or compulsion to do something you don't really want to do is to find something you want to do more and focus your energy on that. Think about what it means to you to find someone to love in a meaningful way and have a mutually satisfying and productive relationship with, and work on that. The sexual behavior you've described may not fade completely into the background, but at least it will move to second place.

1. Take a cold shower. If that doesn't help...
2. Try a vibrator. Very personal, allows you to explore yourself, more convenient than a man, and you can *** as often as you like.
3. There are guys that like you, but you have to like yourself first. When you become comfortable in your own skin, the confidence shines through. Pretty soon, you won't need a vibrator, and you'll be fighting off ***** in your sleep!! (smile)

Maybe you should do something so that guys will like you. Im sure that some do, keep your head up high, and feel good about yourself that speads to other people. Also, sometimes guys just cant do it the right way. thats when the videos and toys come into play.

Not sure how old you are...........why when you get out of the shower? Do you have a massage handheld shower head? Try masturbating in the shower..........or buy a vibrator. Masturbation isnt a dirty thing....if your body is telling you your horny its OK......privacy..behind closed doors.... do not think that you are 'abnormal' you are NOT....take care of yourself....you will have a boyfriend one day Im sure....be careful then also...'no glove, no love' L.Butler
