First of all racism does not mean baring a confederate flag and wearing a white cape. It means feeling a certain way about a specific group of people, or blaming them specifically for something that NO one group of people could solely be responsible for. Like blocking walkways at malls. First of all WHO THE HELL CARES! Walk around them, no biggie. And secondly I know what you mean when someone stops the flow of traffic at a mall, yes it is a little rude. But I've seen ALL KINDS of people do that. Not specifically MY people. Your statement is not just false but it's really unintelligent of you to assume that just because you've seen black people do it before that all black people do it. Get over yourself. I hope one day when your in the mall and you stop for some reason, maybe to look at a window display that someone (hopefully a brotha or sista) knocks you the hell over and steps on your little Abercrombie and Fitch wearing azz.

I noticed that too, even today I saw 3 walking together on the sidewalk and a woman was comming there way and not one went to walk behind there friends to let the woman pass, they made her walk on the street. They also walk in the middle of the street. I don't know why the hell they walk so slow like they are old people.
As for holding doors, I notice if you hold the door for blacks they most often will not grab the door but will keep walking like you are there to hold doors for them and not even a thank you.

I am not a racist either but I do notice in our town, the black people will walk in the street and make cars go around them. They will block doorways in stores and walkways....and yes, they do stroll along as if they have all day and nowhere to go. I can honestly say I do not see other races do this. I have often wondered if in their culture, respect for others is something they are not taught early on by parents and reinforced often till they learn simple courtesy.

It depends where you live..by the way where do you live. If its somewhere in the LA area or black areas, I think black people tend to do that, especially in the mall. I only see this with young people or adults who travel in packs(ha ha..fyi I'm black). I think the reason why we do this in the mall becuase we really don't intend to buy anything( well some of us) just window shop or hang out with friends...so what's the hurry. I rarely do this. I don't think black people are the only ones that do it..lots of white people and a few asian people walk very slow in the mall...but I don't think they block doorways or whatnot. Some black people don't realize their doing it and I have to admitt their are others who don't care and want you to walk around them. I don't know why we do this....it is what it is...sorry for your frustration.

I, being mixed with Black and white, know what you're talking about from an unbiased view. I'll tell you what. The majority of Black people do not care about having respect for anyone else. They hardly respect themselves, but there are a lot of Black people who are not like this. You have to look real hard to find them.

Since you have been holding doors for people for 20 years, it's ok to assume that you are doorman. Then it's probably your low self esteem or insecurity/ inferiority complex that makes you think that way. You said you are not racist, but the way you generalized black people you certainly are one. I'm not a black person, but I still think bottom feeder like you should not belong to the civilized society.

Katteken is the first one to hit the nail on the head here. Different races often behave differently in different areas. African Americans in some areas can be hostile while in other areas they can be as polite as the whites you are familiar with. Also in some areas the whites can be hostile, rude, etc. There are several places that come to mind... but that is for another day.

Are you implying that African-Americans are rude and inconsiderate? You know what makes that happen? YOUR FOREFATHERS. That's right, yours. That's where the language some of us use comes from as well. I am African-American, and I have never once been rude to anyone regardless of race. By the way, have you noticed there are more white serial killers than Black? How rude is that?

Actually, golf was created by a black man. Just thought I'd throw that in. Anyways, I can't speak for what other black people do so the next time you see this happening why don't you ask the actual people doing it??

I don't know where you live but ALL people of different races behave differently depending on where they live. For instance, people of all races are different in California vs. Louisiana vs. New York. If you haven't travelled much, you really haven't met even 1% of african americans to really understand. You should travel a bit before judging. And learning to understand cultures or ethnic races would benefit the world greatly. It would definitely help you understand your definition of "personal space" vs. someone else's (no matter what race they are).
