Bleach is made from chlorine, the same as what is used in a swimming pool. The chlorine tablets for the pool is a much greater concentration so they are generally more economical to use than bottles of liquid bleach.

NOOO! if u want a substitute for chlorine buy those salts they sell for the pool. They don't make u smell, they don't change the color of your hair, they don't make your eyes watery and red plus they have the benefit of making your skin softer. And they work just as good as chlorine. I have them in my pool, they are great!

No. It is the same as what you get for pools but in a much milder formula. It would take gallons to get the same effect that the stuff you get for the pool would take. Get the pool kind. Much cheaper and will last a lot longer than the liquid would too.

I've known several people who would do just that. I've also heard of people pouring a cup of bleach into they're cistern drinking water to kill germs & bacteria.
