You cycle changes approximately every seven years. This could be happening to you now.
Environmental factors like diet and stress can also affect your hormones.
If it goes much longer and you are still concerned, go see your Ob-Gyn.

It could be because you're not getting proper nutrition, or it could be because of a serious health problem that isn't readily obvious. If you just started having periods, this could just be some natural irregularity. Since it is worrying you, I recommend making an appointment with an OBGYN to get checked out, just in case. If it's nothing, then you know for sure, but if there is something wrong, the OBGYN is trained specifically to diagnose and treat whatever it is.

Go to the doctor. If you're eating habits have changed or if you're under a lot of stress, that could make your period irregular. You should see a doctor just in case there are serious problems...You're young so I'm sure nothing is wrong, but you should still visit the doctor to be on the safe side. Better safe than sorry...Good luck!

A family member of mine went 9 months without a period and started lactating. when she went in for her yearly pap smear they found a lump on her side and conected all the problems to a brain tumer. This may not be the same case with you but you should definetly see a doctor and make sure everything is ok

Sometimes your diet and weight have something to do with that. If you're not eatting right and if you're a little heavy (like me) it'll happen.
If you're really younge your menstral could be acting like a punk because you're body is getting in the zone.
If you're really worried let someone know and go to the Gyno.
They'll do an ultrasound and they might do a Pap Smear...non of those hurt.

Well how long have you been having periods? They are often irregular when they start and can take a few years to settle down. Stress can also delay a period as can vigorous exercise.

thats use to happen to me ALL the time, I would go 3 or more months without one, (I wasnt having sex either) then I finally go tired of all the surprises that I got on birth control to keep it regular. Life has been great since, also it you use ortho tri cyclen, your face becomes picture perfect. Ive been on it now for 6 years.
