Everyone has a dark or 'shadow' side to them...you can't have good without bad, positive without negative...don't worry, it's normal...as you said, you don't act on the thoughts, you simply have them...it would be unnatural if you never thought a negative thought, really!
You don't need to get rid of them per se, but try to understand them...analyze them...where they come from...what spawned them...what could you change or do different next time so that you may not have those same thoughts?

You're already on the right track. You are aware of your problem. What you need to do now is replace those thoughts with something more pleasant as soon as you become aware of them. I went through a really terrible divorce five years ago, and this is how I finally stopped obsessing over all of the bad things that had happened. Just take a moment to remind yourself that these bad thoughts are not useful or productive in any way and push them aside. Good luck!

Its possible, replace a bad thought with a good one as soon as it comes to you. You cant stop the bird from flying over your head but you don't have to let them build a nest in your hair.

Seems like you have deep seated anger. As long as those negative feelings don't grow arms and legs, I don't think you should worry. However, you should consult either a counselor or a therapist. It could manifest in other things. You might become destructive one day.
