If my math is correct, that temperature represents 50 degrees Fahrenheit, which is quite cold. At that rate, your relative humidity would have to be extremely low to prevent differential condensation from occurring on the cool surfaces of your a/c.
You will have to insulate the metal surfaces to prevent this from occurring. Some sort of foam, attached with an adhesive to a dry surface, will probably do the trick.

I will, however, be forced to nickname you "Nanook of the North".

Mine was doing the too, it may have froze up a bit, take the front off, and use a blow dryer to melt the ice that is on there. Hope I helped!

If it were split it would not work --Try cleaning the front out & tilt ac back so water will run outside.
